How to Introduce the Yummy Elfy Teether to Your Baby

Quick Answer

Start by sterilizing the Yummy Elfy Teether in boiling water for 5 minutes, then let it cool before offering it to your baby during a calm moment. The ultra soft bristles gently massage sore gums without irritation.

Step-by-Step Introduction Guide

1. Step 1: Sterilize the Teether: Place the Yummy Elfy Teether in boiling water for 5 minutes to sterilize it. Let it cool completely before giving it to your baby. Never microwave or dishwasher sterilize unless stated; boiling is the safest method.
2. Step 2: Choose a Calm Moment: Offer the teether when your baby is alert but not overly hungry or fussy. A relaxed mood helps them explore the new texture without frustration. Avoid introducing during a meltdown; the baby may reject the teether if already overstimulated.
3. Step 3: Let Your Baby Explore: Hold the teether near your baby's mouth and let them reach for it. Allow them to mouth the bristles at their own pace—do not force it. Some babies need a few tries before accepting a new texture; patience is key.
4. Step 4: Supervise and Clean After Use: Always supervise your baby while they use the teether. After each session, rinse with warm water and mild soap, then air dry. Regular cleaning prevents buildup of bacteria, especially on the bristles.
